3 Easy Ways To Make Clickable Tweets
SIMPLE IS ALWAYS BEST
When you tweet you really need to make sure that the message is simple and easily understood. People’s Twitter feeds can move so fast that if you put up something complicated or ambiguous then they are just going to move past it to the next tweet. So here are 3 ideas on how to make your tweets stand out from the crowd.
WEEKEND TWEETER?
Ok tweeting at the weekend may not work for everyone but what’s the point of making amazing content and telling your amazing story if no one is going to read it. Everyone is different and understanding when your audience is likely to have some spare time to read your tweet is really important.
Lots of studies now show we are a mobile society and the younger generation thinks nothing of rolling out of bed, picking up their mobiles and checking out their news feeds. So if that is your audience then your tweets need to be aimed at that time of the day. Likewise if you audience is say people who work Monday to Friday 9 to 5 then tweeting during those times may not be worth the effort, however on the commute home or after dinner time may just be perfect.
HASHTAGS
A hashtag just allows people to find your content really easily, so for example if I was writing about this post I may use the hostage #SocialMedia or maybe #Twitter. People who then were not following me but searching for ‘Social Media’ or ‘Twitter’ would see my post.
It’s also great for commenting on events or news. Unlike some other platforms though you really only ever want to do a maximum of two hashtags in any Tweet, if you do use more then it can have the opposite effect and people won’t read your Tweet.
IMAGES, IMAGES, GIFS?
Want to boost the number of people who see your tweet? Simple, use an image. No seriously you can get up to 150% increase in people who click on your Tweets with an image. Want even more than that (you are a greedy lot) then use a GIF (a moving image). Sounds complicated but seriously it is very easy when you know how. There are a couple of pitfalls that can you lead you in serious trouble (especially financially) like copyright but as long as someone has taught you how to find suitable images and moving images you will have that little blue bird eating out of the palm of your hand in no time.
